Good to see an act like that come to B-mont, isn't it, Doc? Was Antone's pretty packed?

Not like it should've been in proportion to this band's talent.

I bet a third of the crowd was made up of musicians!

I've seen them a few times in the late '80s/ early '90s, I can only surmise that they've improved with age. :) Great band!

They seem to be that kind of a band. I've got a bunch of their CDs but I've never seen them live.

I'm a BIG King's X fan and I've seen them several times- just saw them a month ago in St. Louis. Took my roommate who's never seen them before- he won't stop talking about how great they were. They are by far my favorite band out there. I hate (not really- just jealous) Doug though because he plays so well AND sings and makes it look effortless!!! They do rock and I highly recommend seeing them live.

I'm going to see them tomorrow night! I can't wait.

Of course, this will be my ninth or tenth time to see them.:D
  10. I opened for them once in Brooklyn at L'amours. They were nice guys and put on a good show. Still have a kings X pick the guitarist threw into the crowd.

They're an awesome live band, even though I only saw 'em when they opened for DT and Satch. Doug Pinnick is an amazing vocalist, he always goes for the notes no matter what condition his voice is in, and he plays some grooving bass while doing it, too!

Man! That show was killer. Got Doug to autograph the back of my Hamer 12, too!:D

Where? oh I might need to ask the wife for a hall pass!

I've seen KX lets see (counts on fingers- takes off shoe)

1 time for the Gretchen Tour
2 times for Faith Hope Love
    2 times on King's X (one w/ AC/DC)
    1 for Dogman
    1 for Manic Moonlight

Truly the best show's I've ever seen... the largest crowds were for FHL and KX... Dogman was large as well, but as their shows get more "intamate" they just get better...

Bonus: Galatic Cowboys opened for them 4 of the 7 times I've seen em!

    Darn. You already missed it.

This was ninth or tenth time. The best were always the ones with Galactic Cowboys opening for them. I wish that GC hadn't split up.:(

Too bad that you couldn't come. It was a great show.

I don't know your dad. But there are a lot of people in the Dallas music scene that I don't know.:)
