I was at GC yesterday and I saw what I thought was an SBMM SUB version of a Sterling. Black body with maple neck and fretboard, V/T/B controls, black pickguard, it even had the SUB headstock logo. I checked on Sterling's website and saw nothing about a SUB Sterling bass... Weirdest part was that when I checked the price tag on the bass, GC had mislabeled it as an Ibanez SR bass for $299. Does anyone else have some information about this?
SBMM does make the SB4... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/bass/sterling-by-music-man-s.u.b.-sb4-bass-guitar Comes in red/rosewood and black/maple...
Not a useless thread! Glad to enlighten you, a GC near me had one and I played it, decent bass for the money (though obviously I'd prefer a real Sterling).
