I'm looking for a 4 string bass with a fairly good scale.
Nothing too expensive. I would say I'd want something realy INexpensive eheh.
Uses: tapping and fast nervous playing.

something in the line of the Corvette Std 4.

Concluding , what are your favorite 4 stringed basses as far as scale is considered?

p.s.- i'm talking about playability! the sound is another differente thing :)

I kinda like the Locrian scale.. its not used alot bu... oh wait.. scale lengths my B

I don't know if I have a preference. I have owned 34" and 35" scale basses. Currently I own just the 35. I don't think scale makes a bass better, its what fits you better. Some people have a harder time with 35 inches.. But being 6'8... I don't have a problem at all :D

scale is pretty subjective. so really, there is no "good scale" it is what you think sounds good.

Also, scale is just one element of a bass. Not all basses with the same scale sound alike.
