Scales

    I want to learn scales, appegios, and chord triads. Is there someone out there that would be willing to diagram or suggest a resource for learning scales and the like.

    Major scales are a good place to start...

    That thread has a lot of good info on what you're looking for. I'd also recomend checking out "The Jazz Theory Book" by Mark Levine, that book really helped me get a handle on the basics, it's well written and very easy to understand. Aside from that the best advice is to find a good teacher to help you if you are able to.

    There's a PC program, like GuitarPower or something that I guess is really useful with that kind of stuff. Maybe do a google search and find out more...
