This is an ultra-rare bass by German luthier Andy Schack. His basses are in the $3K+ range when new. It's one of his earlier basses and has some things that Schack basses normally don't have - solid bubinga body, one-piece maple neck, 34" scale. This bass is heavy (10.6 lbs) but balances perfectly when sitting or standing. This is THE punchiest, growliest bass I've ever owned, bar none. It like a Warwick on steroids - rips through any mix. I just had the bass PLEK'd with low action (cost $225 for the PLEK). The neck is dead straight, frets are like new. This is a bolt-on neck - the bolts are accessed via the neck pickup cavity.

The bass has light finish wear from normal use - surface level stuff only (this is inevitable w/a satin finish). No major dings or gouges. The back pickup has a bit of "string burn". Truss rod cover missing (screw in place).

    Body: Solid bubinga
Neck: One piece Maple w/Ebony Fretboard
    Frets: 24 w/zero fret
    Pickups: BassTec Jazz
    Preamp: 18V (Basstec or Glockenlang???)
Controls: Volume, Blend, Treble, Mid, Bass
    Scale: 34"
    Bridge: Schack (Schaller?)
    Strings: 45-130 Nickelwound

Selling for $1250 shipped in the US. International shipping is no problem, just PM for quote. A used case will be included (small cracks in the molded plastic). Will also consider trades (other 34" 5'ers, Modulus Flea, Zon Sonus, Stingrays + cash, etc)

...this had the sixth string - it would be MINE if it did! Good Schacks are killer...and this one sounds like it has not "issues"

No issues on this one. I know some Schacks have had neck problems in the past, but this one is stellar. Who needs 6-strings anyway? :)
