Schecter California Custom 5 This is an excellent bass that has since been discontinued. Bass Player gave it an excellent review with particular praise for it's versatility. Here are the specs -Rosewood fingerboard -EMG pickups (40P5 and 40J) -EMG preamp (BTS- master volume/blend/bass boost-cut/treble boost-cut -Hipshot 'A' style bridge with top-load or through-body stringing. -35 scale -Blackcherry burst finish The construction is excellent and the array of tones make it a really versatile piece. I could use this as my main bass in the three very stylistically different groups I play with and it would work just fine. I'm pretty impressed. It's pretty too. The blackcherry burst is really nice. There are only three minor nicks that keep the bass from being completely mint and they're very tiny. I bought this a few months back from a fellow TB'er who bought it from Schecter after it had been used in a NAMM show. Part of the serial number was removed to designate it as used, or at least that was my understanding. It's been sitting in a gig bag in my practice room as I've been concentrating on a different bass. This is a really solid piece that I think is outstandingly versatile and a fantastic value. Asking $450 shipped in a gig bag anywhere in the lower 48. Cheers, J.
