Schecter Diamond J vs Fender Modern Player Jazz

    Hello everyone!

    My first post but I would be very interested to hear your opinions... I have a Fender US Precision which I use for recording at home. I would like to add a Jazz-type bass for more tonal versatility and am split between Schecter Diamon J and Fender Modern Player Jazz basses.

    I understand they are both modern takes on it but I am not sure which one to pick... I just want a classic Jazz sound...

    The new line of Modern Players have a coil tap function so you can have either or both humbuckers as singlecoils, which will definitely give you the classic Jazz sound.

    I have no experience with the Diamond J.
