About two months ago i bought a new schecter Elite-5 from an online distributor (because guitar center sucks) and i love the guitar but the fretbuzz was awful when i got it. I raised the action up and the problem is pretty much solved, but i have read here on TB that that is not a permanent fix, and you have to adjust the truss rod. Is that something easy enough that i would be able to do it myself, and if so how do you do it, or should i take it in somewhere.

Check out the links in this thread about truss rods and decide for yourself.

I learned how to do truss rod adjustments on my own basses because I didn't think it was worth however much $$ it would cost to take it in to a shop.
