You'd have to be out of your mind to pass up a deal like this. If I had $500, I'd be ALL over this.
The Dallas models werent as good as original Custom made models or later Californian Series. The main reason is that many of them got Samick made bodies, meaning actually that it is a Korean bass with Schecter on it. Pickups are good, though.
What are the serial numbers to tell which is which? I had a custom koa bodied PJ that was off the chain and another few PJ's plus a couple of jazz basses that were all amazing. Some were generic straight Fender knockoffs and some were more eclectic (woods, finishes etc.) but they were all great sounding and playing basses. Good fit and finish and great passive electronics. Best deal for the dough that I've found for Fenderish 4 string basses.
NO visable serial# on this one. unless its buried some were on the bass.....
should be stamped on the neckplate......
Got to try it in person last week, just not sure when/if I'll be able to snag it, and I already have a couple of J basses. Really nice bass though, plays very smoothly and for the price it's pretty tough to beat - liked it more than the recent US Fenders I've played. Might have to grab it when I get back home if it's still there...
Thanx its a cool bass...
I`ll take it if you ship overseas.I send you a pm.thanks
Are you checking PMs?
I do have quite basses for trade here. Have a look and PM me if interested. Thanks!
This bass should have been sold the first day it was posted! The quality of the 1980's Schecters is boutique level! I am dead serious in saying that if I had not just gotten a Roscoe Beck V, I would be sending a paypal out for this bass.
THanx DR. You are 100% right....
