Schecter T Model with split P/J pups, then how?

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by modulusbassist, Oct 27, 2001.

  1. I am thinking of changing the P pick ups to SD Quarter Pounder but the Quarter Pounder is only available for P pick ups then what happens to my Jazz Bridge pick up, it won't match right?

Or I think I might want to change it to matching Antiquities P and J pick up(this will cost more than the bass I think).

    What do you think?

SD does make a Quarter Pounder J-pickup.

Even if they are the same model, unless you have a matched PJ set, there is probably going to be an output imbalance.

    Good call E~

Outside of a matched set, the only ones I've seen
    might work together are DiMarzio's Split-P & Ultra-Jazz.
Accordin' to the D/M site, they have the same output -
    250mV. And the J's a humbucker.
