    This Acoustic Bass system is an early Stephan Schertler’s original Bridge-mounted electrostatic bridge-mounted transducer STAT-B system. Effectively reproduces the complex tone of the double bass and also works with any bass amplifier. Ideal in applications where high volume levels must not present a handicap, the STAT-B provides high feedback resistance while reflecting the natural sound of the Double Bass with a clear, well defined and "round" string tone. STAT-B is an ideal system for amplified rock, jazz or fusion performances. The STAT Series of transducer contact microphones has been specially designed to bring out the best sound qualities of bowed stringed instruments in louder musical environments, or in performance situations involving high levels of amplification.

    The STAT-B-SET includes pickup cable terminating in an RCA jack and a battery-powered STAT-PRE preamp with volume control.

    (I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'patch cable' - does it need an RCA to Jack adaptor lead?)

    Your instrument cable (from the pickup to whatever device is accepting this input) will be rca at the pickup end to, well, whatever you need at the other end, typically 1/4.

    You can see it originally came with rca to a right-angle 1/4 and that is the cable that was found to have a cracked housing on the 1/4 end (not affecting its function) and more importantly, the internal connection for the rca end was broken. Rather than repair both ends, I am no longer including this cable in this sale. The pickup works fine; this cable was what did not work and the first buyer sent it all back. I guess he didn't try any other cable.
