What does Chancellor use in the slow part of Schizm that does the "bends"? Specifically right around 4:01 mark.

I figure it is the Whammy in combination with another effect but I'm not sure.

    Danke.

Distortion + Whammy 1 Oct Up + Delay that echos once and makes it sound like swung 8th notes + Volume Swells with your Hand

Maybe he bends the strings, not having my tool cds with me but being the introvert I am, I would say I'm right.

Try playing the note then pressing either behind the bridge or above the nut on your bass to give a whammy effect.

Experiment it might save you having to buy a whammy pedal.

    + Delay... ;)
    Then you're ok.

  5. You must have hands of steel to shift your notes an octave by pressing above the nut!!

To get this song nailed you need the bass whammy and use it on the 5th up(heel)-->Oct up (toe) setting and a nice delay as well!

I find it hard to do volume swells and keep in time on even the easiest parts of a song, volume pedal is a nice thing, my wah can do both but it would be nice to have two wahs and a volume pedal......

    and everything else.
