I ordered a Schroeder 310 and it It had issue upon delivery and Jorg and I think the Cab might have structal damage it has weird buzz that we troubleshoot so he is so he is going to building me new cabinet . He is going to build me either another 310 which is amazing cab or new cab which is 2,8"and a 12 which will retail for bit more but will not cost me anymore. I really love the 310 but I am on the fence and thinking about going with the 2 8 12 I play Fender Jazz and P both with flats . Just wanted to see what you folks think.
If there'll be a x-over in the 1288 with the 12 being a LF, then that'd be interesting. If all will be full-range, forget it & do the 310.
This. I'd be interested in seeing Jorg's take on the Genz 1288 design. However, given his history of an aversion to crossovers, I would make sure before paying.
Yes, but the 1288 is only possible because the 310 was damaged upon delivery, so it's almost 100% he's already paid. Don't think Jorg (or anyone else ) would ship otherwise.
I'm a fan of the sound of 15" speakers. And Jorg uses fantastic speakers in his cabs. I LOVE my 2x15 Schroeder cab. Only 52 pounds and sounds BIG!
I really do like the 3x10 I am leaning towards the that but I have a few days to decide . Jorg has been great to work with and has spent lots of time answering my questions . He has been great during this whole process .
If you're looking for the cab that can go louder, move more air, & handle more RMS, hard to see how it wouldn't be the 310.
↑ I'm a fan of the sound of 15" speakers. And Jorg uses fantastic speakers in his cabs. I LOVE my 2x15 Schroeder cab. Only 52 pounds and sounds BIG! Curious, which drivers are they, btw? I believe when I bought my cab he was using Eminence speakers. The last time I visited his website he was using B&C speakers. My quote comes from my experience with my Schroeder 2x15 cab. Huge volume from a small cab.
