Ok, LOTS of really cool people in this business we love, that of all things bass. Made some good , and very good friends. A couple are like brothers to me.
Now, Jorg and I have met at NAMM and I was always impressed with his demeanor and phylosophy. The man is as straight up as they come. Just a real pleasure to deal with. One thing about Jorg.. he never tries to sell you the biggest priciest cab. He suggests the one he thinks is right for YOUR needs.
Having said that, and experiencing the joy and fun of carrying various cabs up and down a flight of stairs ( this is as of 3/4 months ago ) it really makes you want to find something light and portable but who wants to give up tone and volume on a gig? I don't!
So I contacted Jorg about the cabs. He suggested the 1012. It just arrived ( well, I had to hunt it down from fedex, but.. ) and I just plugged it in to see ( hear ) what this is all about.
This cab puts out TONS of tone regardless how small and light it is. With my gk1001rbII, it sounds fantastic. Punchy, loud, clean and USABLE. Taking it on a medium to large size gig tomorrow eve. We'll see how it performs, but my buddy who was here when I fired her up ( he's a hardcore Sadowsky Bergantino guy ) had to stop, put his stuff down and come over and check it out. I put some juice thru it ( sorry neighbors , heck they work with Toni Braxton ) and it gave back everything I put into it. I am very hyped about this cab because if it sounds this good on a gig, I solved my portability and tone problems.
So just wanted to say thanks, Jorg and all those who had reviews and enticed me to try one of these. So far, it's a heck of a cab!

I love my 4x12. I had to have a 4x12, simply for overcompensation. :bag:

I feel the same way that you do about Jorg. I contacted Jorg about my needs for a cab and his suggestions were right on . I ended up purchasing one of his compact cabs; a 1210 to be exact.

I carried my 1210 up a long flight of steps last night (@ the legendary Phase 54 studio). My cab shined in the mix and my bass sounded soooooooo good thru it (Zon sonus custom w/SWR sm-500 in case you were wondering).

Jorg is a stand up guy. He was gracious enough to invite me to his home one day to pick up a cab. I was in L.A. on a Sunday and had a very short window of opportunity to try one of his cabs out. I told him about my dilemma and he accommodated me.

I love my 1210 cab and frankly cant see being without it. I love my other rigs as well, but the Schroeder cab gets about 95% of my gigs. My other bigger rigs will just have to wait for a show that the 1210 can't handle.

    Great cabs

Thanks for the schroeder report. As a side-note when I first picked up the bass, my first jam buddy in 8th grade was a great guitar player by the name of Adrian Garcia. He went on to...do a lot of skateboarding and weed.:meh:

looking forward to tomorrows gig. Demanding band- Funk Jazz with an edge. Yellowjackets, Michael Brecker, stuff like that. Reading ( yikes! ) it will be a gig where I need to be awake. I'll be excited about the cab, so it will be fine.

I'm thinking hard about a new cab, and the front runner is a Schroeder 21012L. I need a standalone 4 ohm cab for my Walkabout, and this seems like the perfect mate.

I echo-echo-echo everything said above about Jorg and more-like everyone's friend-he is extremely helpful and kind...and its not a ploy to do better business-its not just that he's a bassist himself...but he just is that way...his customer service is the best I've run into in the music business-he has gone out of his way to be helpful...I've experienced it, and I've heard many others speak of it on this site as well. Jorg not only knows a lot about speaker cabs, but, also, what amplifiers to match with what ever cabs-so call him if you have any questions...he won't try and sell you a cab you don't need. And his 10 year warranty is almost as priceless as his customer service. But the cabs just Rock-they are loud and when the band is cranking live-you'll be sitting full in the mix with great deep punching, cutting, undistorted, stage & room-filling tone. I've just ordered a Schroeder 212L to make a pure Schroeder Stack on top of my Schro 410R-I can't wait to report on the sound next week...Peace...DAcat

That cab will handle it. Another TB'er (Zac2944) uses a 1212R with the GK1001RBII and he drives a 14 piece funk/dance band with no problem.

+1...I've found the more juice you throw at it, the better it sounds.

+1 to every positive thing said. Jorg is a fantastic guy to do business with. I started off with a 310212R and needed to downsize a little. Worked out a killer deal on one of Jorg's personal cabs - a 210212L, and I couldn't be happier. If my Schroeder was ever damaged or stolen, I would replace it with another without hesitation.

  15. +1 to that! My 310212 needs a good 800+ watts before it really starts to open up at a show

Thats not to say that it doesn't sound good with less watts, it just sounds even better with more juice!

Jorg is fantastic to deal with and I have a 1212R which I am very happy with.

+1...I didn't mean to say that they weren't efficient, because they certainly are. I really appreciate that they are so small and light, yet at 4 ohms get full power out of most of the heads on the market today.

+100 for Jorg Schroeder!!! I am blessed to have both a Wizzy 10 and a Schroeder Mini 10+ L. While the Wizzy 10 produces a HUGE soundstage with serious bass content, "warmth" and "roundness", it does not have the high frequency "bite" that I like. I play primarily gospel, jazz and fusion and the Schroeder (which has a tweeter) is the ticket for my Peavey Cirrus Bubinga 5 and Warwick Thumb 5 BO basses. Initially, the Schroeder was slightly lacking in deep bass, but after the 2 week break-in specified by Jorg Schroeder, THIS LITTLE CABINET KICKS BASS, punches and has "bite"! I have no problems hearing myself on stage, eventhough I am very close to our drummer and not too far from a big Leslie organ speaker cabinet. An AWESOME pairing with my Micro 300 amp! I am not slighting the Wizzy 10 by any means! The ideal combination may be using both the Wizzy 10 and the Mini 10+ L.............HMMMMM......... Approximately two months ago, after playing for our Pastor Appreciation ceremony at our church, the other bassists from guest churches could not stop talking about how great my Cirrus sounded! One played a Ken Smith 5 with Jazz pickups connected to an SWR amp and a 4-10 cabinet and the other played a Fender Jazz 4 connected to Carvin amp and a 4-10 cabinet. I was playing through my Euphonic Audio iAmp Micro 300 connetced to a Schroeder Mini 10+ L. They could not believe the sound that was coming from my tiny rig! Euphonic Audio works for me. Jorg is THE MAN and his cabinets are THE BOMB!!!

Big supporter of Jorg and his cabinets right here, very cool guy to deal with.

I really doubt I'll ever need anything beyond my 410L, but if I do I know where to go!
