I saw Mike Stern in NYC last night and I told him that I had studied with Jeff Andrews (who played in a few of Mike's albums). He told me that he was playing with Scott henderson now (which I did not know).
This is a video of them performing this past January.

What do you think about it?

I personally LOVE the way Jeff plays.
  2. I'm a big fan of Jeff's playing too. Thanks for posting the clip.

Thanks for the clip, I always dug Andrews and don't see his name around as much anymore. I saw him with Vital Information, and he just slayed!

Thanks for the treat! The playing was amazing. I don't know what planet Henderson comes from, but if they ever invent a breather I'd like to visit.

    Great stuff!

He is an amazing teacher as well.

I think he was teaching and working as a producer as well as a playing in some recording sessions. I think he hadn't toured with someone famous like Scott in a couple of years

Jeff is a smokin' bassist. I believe he is hugely influenced by Jaco. I loved his work with Vital Information.
  9. Here's another clip with Stern and Weckl.

He was very close to Jaco.
As a matter of fact one of the tunes from Vital Information's "Where we come from" is a Jaco composition that was never released, and it is a killer tune IMHO.
