SDGR or Legend?

  1. I have been in desperite need of a new bass lately, My Millenium BXP just don't cut it for me no more :( .

I was looking into the Spector Legend series, I played one at Guitar Center before, the Bubinga four string, and it felt super nice with that beautiful body shape, and very lightweight and fast neck too. Not to mention the awesome bubinga top and killer tone I loved.

However, I recently "borrowed" ( Ireturned it yesterday.) a friends Ibanez SR300DX, and acutally it felt very comfortable! It was a really nice active bass, that I recorded a song on my computer with, (can't beat an active to record with.) it had a really nice feel with cruvacious and lightweight body. Also had a pleasent tone with the stock Ibanez pickups (would swao em for some EMGs or SDs in a heartbeat though.)

Both basses have a super nice appearence and feel just awesome, I'm having a hard time deciding which to get!

The two I'm looking at are the Spector Legend 4 in slate grey, and the Ibanez SDGR 400(or 500). The prices are very close between the 500 and Legend, but the 400 wins overall. but there's asecond factor, I may be considering going to a five string bass so I can get that low I need for Staind, Otep, and other heavy/aggressive hard rock that I play.

What do you guys think about these 2 (3) basses???

Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to explain myself well.

I don't really understand how there is any "decision" to be made.
