When I first started up on TB last year, I read about a fuzz pedal that splits the input signal into four channels based on frequency range, fuzzes them up individually (with adjustable levels) and recombines them before kicking them to the output.

    Search function was inconclusive.

Do you humans know of anything like this? Looking to buy or clone. :)

Sounds like the Fairfield Circuitry Four Eyes.

    the Iron Ether QF2?
  4. The Quadrafuzz? I want to say it was designed by Craig Anderton. I don't recall whether it was produced or just designed. I assume some were built.

Paia sells kits of this. Ooh, this might be what I was looking for!

Yeah, that was four hours ago. Still scheming. Pedal building is a dangerous, dangerous path.

Designing a pedal with this (^^that^^) in mind.

Iron Ether makes an Anderton approved Quadrafuzz pedal. The QF2 as mentioned a few posts back.

Wounded Paw makes the Black Sheep which only does 3 channels but it sounds nice.

The Rusty Box is a Traynor TS50B preamp in a pedal. That preamp had a three band "Tri-comp" (tri compressor?) in it using paralleled differential pair transistors.

    Some discussion here

    TS50B schematic here

I've done some spice modeling and it appears possible with a 9V supply.
