Well, my little lady just got a part-time job in addition to her full-time job in order to make ends meet and buy gifts for the holiday season. she goes to college part time as well.

I feel bad that she had to do this. I work full-time and gig up to 2-4 times a week. maybe she's lonely when i'm gone, i don't know. maybe i'm just too dense to realize that she's broke. she's stubborn like me and won't admit that she may be broke. she doesn't make anything close to what I make with all my different jobs.

I don't know if I should feel bad because i'm old fashioned for a young whipper-snapper or what.

are any of your significant others getting or already have a seasonal or a second job?

    No not at my end.

However, my mum does have a number of jobs, her main being at a local pizza shop 5 nights a week (been there 7 years now). She was about to go into partnership with the owner but backed out as she felt it'd be too time consumking (shame really).

She also has a bunch of day jobs, namely cleaing n stuff.

Once I get through uni and sorted with an ok wage (or win the lotto' :D ) I'll ship some money back into my old household.

she does accounting with her "real" job. she just got hired to be a cashier at this retail place. we will get 20% off merchandise, but she's only going to get about 7 per hour. that ain't jack!

we don't have any kids, but we pick up her cousin on fri/sat to take him to the church thing (CCD). he's a trip! a great, great little kid, but a pain in the arse nonetheless. his mother and father are not together nor are they around. they don't give a crap about him. we are trying to baptize him, but we need to go through this RCIA thing before we can baptize him.

when it comes to the house (we are not married) the only thing she pays for is half of rent and her bills - car, credit cards, etc. I pay for the other half of the house and the rest of all utilities, my car, my bills ect. i do make a lot more money than she does, but after she graduates and hopefully still goes for her masters, she may be the bread winner (which is fine).

i just hate the fact that my baby has to bust her ass. that should be my job - i take great pride in bitching about being tired :D two bitchy people in the same house is going to suck.

maybe i should start teaching in addition to gigging and my day job so she won't have to work two jobs. i don't really know. it just bums me out.

How did I miss this? I must have been totally sleeping!

Well, if you applied for the CEO position at Halliburton, you could make enough to make
to get her to quit her second job, buy her a new Escalade, and maybe a *Small* third world country.

[Your current employer can't really pay you more, they are too busy building casinos in Vegas with their checkoff cash. ]

Maybe you should move to Utah, that way you could get a string of females to support you!

[ I didn't say anything about your GF, as she is probably pretty nice, but what she sees in your poor hairy back eludes me! :spit: ]
