Seattle this weekend - anything good happening?

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Ubersheist, Nov 2, 2016.

  1. Good day, TB'ers. I'm visiting Seattle this weekend, and am looking for things to do on Saturday. I'm staying in the Queen Anne's neighborhood a bit northwest of the Space Needle. I've done the touristy things, like the Space Needle, Fish Market, etc.

I'm wondering if there's any good shows, local bands playing that night. Maybe something going on that day?

Where might i research to see what else is going on in Seattle?

    Thanks!

Well no surpise and I looked it up: rain rain rain...bring an umbrella and a trench coat and boots while you are at it.

  5. I'm screwed. I have a bad foot that needs to be in a soft cast - no protection from the rain. Oh well...

  7. We are going to go to Dan Savage's Humpfest on Friday, btw. Check it out if you have a very open mind, and come find me! (NSFW-ish, adult-ish link = Upcoming Events | Hump! Film Fest)

I'll check it out and see what I can find. Thanks!

Excellent - I just finished re-roofing my garage and after a couple of nice days, today is the acid test. It's rainy season here as well. Garage is 60+ years old and there were still original parts when we pulled up the old shingles.

Looking for stuff to do SaturDAY or Sat nite? What kinds of music are you into? I'll poke around some listings.

My latest fave tavern is right over there in lower QA, at 174 Roy St called the Streamline. I'm a big fan of their extra crispy chicken wings

Got money? Hang out atop the Space Needle and get good (but EXPENSIVE) eats. Perhaps I should read threads a bit more thoroughly. ;)

The Sci-fi museum was really cool, when I went. However, I would have gone to Experience Music Project if I could relive those days. I was only 14 at the time and bass was only a newly-formed thing.

The EMP is worth a lookie-see, and it's right under the Space Needle
