I am starting the second project: 5 strings, 32 EADGC or 34" BEADG (not decided yet), multilaminated ash-mahogany neck, gonçalo alves top, mahogany body.
I'll try to wind my proper pickups.

Here the final design of the 34" version: "hybride" doublecut (something between SC and DC design, similar to Nordstrand NX.
Wood pattern is really goofy, don't mind :)

    Cool design!
It reminds me of the Ibanez Musician series basses of the 80's!
FWIW, I think the lower horn looks a smidge too long.

    I vote for a 32" EADGC set up!:bassist:

  3. beautiful design....

the lower horn's length is OK, IMO.. It just needs a contour like that on the upper horn to balance it off...just not as wide...

I have no idea why I put 8 bolts and not 6. I must be thinking about something weird while drilling those holes :eyebrow: ;)

True. But the head you have is well balanced to the rest, too. Not very common...

    In short: beautiful

    Very nice!

++ extra points for re-using the upper horn "semi-singlecut" relief shape two other places on the bass!
