I've been looking into a rackmount preamp to add to my Mesa 400+(which I love). I'm looking for something similiar to the old ADA MB-1 but still in production. I'm looking to use the option of more than one channel to switch to a eq setting for fretless, one for fretted, or one for distiortion, etc. Any ideas? The only one's I could think of where the billy sheenan by Ampeg and the ADA.:meh:

It's not exactly multi channel, but the regular Ampeg SVP-PRO has a footswitch input to switch the graphic EQ section on/off.
  4. I have the Ampeg SVT-BSP, and it works perfectly fine for me!

The Peavey MAX is a two channel hybrid preamp.
  6. An Alembic F-2B and a switch to toggle between the channels? A fairly close approximation of your 400+'s Fender-based preamp I believe. A Mesa M-2000 has a multitude of channel-EQ-loop switching abilities all in 2 rack spaces..maybe check that out?
