Hey all, I'm in the market for a new bass and my G.A.S. has gone nuts, so I think getting some advice from sensible individuals could be very useful. My budget is $2000 and I play mostly rock & funk, occasionally blues and jazz as well. I don't like the fatass heels on Fender and Music Mans if that could be avoided in the basses you advise. I don't mind used basses at all (to me it's the same but cheaper if it's not completely ruined). I generally like a low action if you're familiar with how a particular bass is genrally set up. Thanks for the help!

Have a look at the Afterburner II Dingwall basses. They cover all those styles (and much more). The rest you can find in other threads, regarding these basses

Take a look into some second hand Alembics or Status basses.
