  1. Does anyone know or is there any way of finding out what bass was used for the Seinfeld Theme and who played it?

  2. I'm pretty sure the seinfeld theme was played on synthesizer

  3. I heard on a documentary that it was done by a keyboard.

  4. well, a few years ago i saw on tv the guy that did it, but he played it on a keyboard, and i don't remember the name.

Ya know... I've heard many times that it was done on keys, but I have a memory of watchinga Sein special of some sort. The opening of the show actually showed Seinfeld warming up the crowd before tapping. After the intro tune Seinfeld something like "thank you so-and-so, our fantastic bass player".

It was a keyboard. You just have to listen to it to tell.

If it is keyboards, it's possible it was the Scarbee J-slap bass library.

Check out http://www.scarbee.com/demos/js_demos.php for demos. Pretty cool stuff - impressive that they are all sequenced demos too... Demo 3 definitely has something of the Seinfeld about it ;)

Wolfe was the keyboardist/bandleader for the Arsenio Hall show back in the late 80's/early 90's.
