    1925 G.A. Pfretzschner Double Bass
Appraisal from Laszlo Pinter (Chicago) reads:
Top is close grain spruce, while the scroll, arched back and ribs are flamed maple. The color of the varnish is dark brown.
    Measurements:String Length 42 1/8"Length of Body 44"Upper Bout 20 1/4""C" Bout 14 1/4"
    Lower Bout 26"

This bass is in beautiful, healthy condition, few if any repairs, and comes with a fitted adjustable bridge and winter soundpost, in addition to the solid bridge, summer sound post, and solo strings that it is presently set-up in. I have used this bass on numerous television and radio commercial recording sessions, and for many solo and orchestral performances. In addition, this bass was used by Czech double bass virtuoso Miloslav Gajdoš during his inaugural visits to the United States, and can be seen on a Chicago Cultural Affairs documentary of him playing the Hoffmeister Concerto #3 (video available with purchase).

This bass is ideal for 1) a second professional orchestral instrument 2) a nice solo instrument
    3) the serious student to bring him through college and beyond

Price: $7500. USD /photos being developed, available on request soon
