Separated at birth? Music Man Cutlass and Ibanez Blazer?

Ibanez Blazer ca. 1980 and the new EBMM Cutlass.

Really like to try the Cutlass BTW. It’s kinda ugly, but I like the look nevertheless

    Completely different instruments.

Pickups, machine head placement, volume and tone knob placement, output jack placement, bridge placement...

You know, all the usual "how can we make a copy without getting sued for making a copy" changes.
  3. Yeah not the prettiest looking design, kinda Gumby looking, reminds me of the Gibson that was recently discontinued.

Judging by the above pic, it looks like EBMM still places little value on lining up the pickup pole pieces with the strings. Hard to justify the prices they ask for their stuff when they don't seem interested in attention to details like string-pickup alignment. I'd be surprised if the Cutlass doesn't go the way of the "Big Al".
