Separating Combo Amp

I bought a Yorkville XS400 bassmaster combo amp with the 15 inch speaker. So far, I really like it. However, living in an apartment makes for a lot of work carrying it to and from the car when many places I go have cabinets I can plug into if I could just pull the head out and take it with me.

Has anyone got any advice on detaching the amp head (I assume you could just disconnect the speaker and put a connector on there) and making it easy to slide the amp in and out?

    Thanks, Adrian.
