    I picked up this Fender BG29 Acoustic Electric for $200 from Craigslist. It’s a sweet little bass. It was manufactured in China. I’ve had no luck searching for serial number/manufacturing date info. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!!

    Typically, the year is the first 2 digits after the country/manufacturing plant code. In this case, with 99% certainty, it's China 2004.
