serial number searches

  1. i reacently got a Old japense Precision bass, its really nice, but i cant tell what the year is, does anyone know a website that would tell me this? the serial number is N022421.

    If it is indeed a Fender, then you've got yourself a 1990 model there.

    I stand corrected. I forgot that there were som inconsistencies in thier eighties/early-nineties numbers. I've got an '89 strat with a number that starts N8. That should be a '98 number, but it ain't.
