I am selling a Danley Sound Labs Servodrive Contrabass Subwoofer. They were once Intersonics Sound Labs and Quantum Sound. They are very well known for making auditorium, stadium, outdoor and concert level basstech subwoofers capable of subterranean lows at very high SPLs. Tom Danley who is a physics engineer for NASA designed these very powerful patented subwoofers. These are not conventional speakers and instead use a rotary linear servo motor on belts to drive the cones. This model contains two front and rear 18" passive radiators with wood cones and two front and rear active 15’s that are servo driven and very musical sounding. The low frequency extension on this loudspeaker is a ridiculous 16hz. They have been used by national geographic in the wild to study elephants by mimicking the sounds that elephant make as well as fixed outdoor installations like Disney World’s Epcot Center and by many top touring professionals like Tom Petty and Def Leppard among many others. I personally heard them outdoors at Epcot Center and at a Michael Jackson concert when he was alive as well as on stage when Billy Sheehan used them as part of his bass rig which is how I got turned on to them. I have used the sub a total of 4 maybe 6 times at events and then downsized my rig and so I don’t use the subwoofer any more. I am hoping it can go to a good home. She is completely mint with very little use and no scars what so ever. I paid over 5,000 dollars for this subwoofer brand new due to freight shipping. I am the original owner and can only sell this subwoofer locally. It has been stored in a climate controlled smoke free environment. It will fit in the back seat of a car or in the back of a SUV. 36" tall 18" deep and 22" wide. $1550 firm
