    One head, 2 cabinets..

    SVT-CL head

    SVT-410HLN (4 ohms)
    +
    SWR Big Ben (8 ohms)

...Do I set her to "2" or "4" ?:help:

I've never used these 2 cabs together,I plugged them both in briefly,to test the new 18" out,and set her to 4 ohms,on a guess..
    here's the chart:

    Cab................ #of ............. Total
    Impedence ....... Cabs ......... Impedence
    2 ohms.............. 1 .......... 2 ohms
    4 ohms.............. 1 ......... 4 ohms
    4 ohms.............. 2 ......... 2 ohms
    8 ohms ............. 2 ......... 4 ohms
    8 ohms ............. 4 ......... 2 ohms

An 8 ohm cab plus a 4 ohm cab = 2.7 ohms so set your head to 2 ohms and you are good to go.

A tube head is happier seeing a lower impedence rather than a higher one (opposite of solid state) ohms so set it to the 4 ohm tap.
