OK, Lo-Riders don't have a tapered B, do Prisms? How about XL's? I'm thinking primarily of six-string sets, and non-tapered B's have so far sounded better on my sixer.

    Hard-Rockin' Steels?
    GHS Super Steels?
    Deep-Talkin' Bass roundwounds?

TI strings aren't taperwound. I've tried Powerbass, JazzFlats, and JazzRounds. I love the sound of all three.

I really hate taperwound strings....floop, floop, floop.

XL's and Slowounds dont have tapered B strings.
Dont know if Slowounds are available for a 6, though.

Slowounds are, indeed, available for 6 string. They are the string I was using before I became a TI Fanatic. :D
  5. Slowounds only come with tapered b-strings nowadays. :)

Oh, well. I hope Thomastik stays in business. :D
  7. Actually I'm waiting on my first TI set. Powerbass. I'm used to DR Fatbeams and Slowounds so I look forward to these... :)

Tell me about these Thomastik strings you're so wild about. I use Thom. string exclusively on my DBs, but still have the original tapercore strings (which I don't much care for) on my Smith 6. What do you recommend?
  9. I've been using TI Powerbass strings for awhile now, and hope I never have to change. They sound excellent, even right out of the box. They stay very consistent sounding too. Lighter guage than most other brands, which is good for me on my 5'er.
