So.. After subscribing to bass the world on facebook, I have been getting a lot of sexy luthier made basses on my stream - todays example: [IMG]

and I happen to think Steve Swallows Citron is one of the sexiest instruments ever made, but when I looked into it, found out it cost well over $5000!, as is the case with most of the basses I fall in love with at first sight..

So - can you post a sweet ass bass that costs under, say $1500 (we'll stretch to $2000 :p)

Id rather see original designs, not just fenders with sweet paint jobs... :bassist:

Haha. IMO the newer Fender American deluxe jazz in black/maple is the sexiest out there!

OK, so it's not the most exotic looking guitar, but it is only one of 2 B336-SR's (6 string, stained red) ever made and is a prototype. I think it's uber sexy - I love the color, the blackened hardware (some of it looks chrome-ish because of the flash), the shape (not to mention the action, the tone from the active ESP's, the string spacing, the setup). Oh, and it was $550 new.

First one was nice.. but i think the GroovEvolution was ugly as hell.. far too "pointy" for a bass IMO

Bassman: honorable mention for the Maruszczyk :)

I think John Toon has some pretty cool designs, and as a lesser-known luthier, his prices aren't stratospheric...

I'm just an old traditionalist, but I find good old Fender Jazzes & P's to be quite sexy. They never get old to me.

That said, a lot of the ones you guys have shown are pretty hot too. I especially like that Seiku Bunch!
