The Seymour Duncan 805 overdrive has been out for several years and I have not read much with regards to its use on bass. It's a basic tube screamer with an active EQ. There's only one demo on bass which sounds pretty good. Anybody using this pedal?

I love the 805 on bass! It has more gain range than a TS, but the voicing is very similar. I used it on bass for the last recording I did.

How about the Seymour Duncan Forza, how do you like this pedal on bass? Your favorite between the two?

The Forza is like a Tube Screamer without the mid hump and bass loss. It is an even overdrive. I like it on bass a lot, especially if you have all the mids you want in your bypassed tone and want to boost everything equally.

Thanks for the info. Between the two which one is your favorite with a passive bass?

Depends on the EQ of your pickups, really. Personally, I dig the Forza for bass, the 805 for guitar. I tend to use mid-heavy pickups sometimes, and the even-sounding EQ of the Forza suits them better (I can scoop it out if I want).
