Seymour Duncan "Antiquities"

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by TJBass, Dec 23, 2000.

  1. Just picked up a set of Seymour Duncan "Antiqities" P style pick-ups, couldn't pass them up for $24! Anyone ever use these or had them on a bass and didn't like them? I bought them since they were so cheap and hey, when was the last time you saw a pair of pick-ups for 25 bucks? They are made to look, sound, and smell like 35 year old pick-ups, I play in a blues band and want the earlier sound but don't want to lose any tone in the process........any info would help before I start splicing and dicing!
    Thanks....

  2. I have Antiquities in one of my P basses, and yup, they're pretty good.

How'd ja get um for 24$?

  4. Picked them up at guitar center, they also had them for strats at the same price.

  5. Marty,
What difference did they make on your P-bass?

  6. More highs and lows and detail, and a "richness".
