Seymour Duncan Bassline Quarter Pound P/J Bass Set

    I'm building two basses. Does anyone have advice on the differences in sound other than
    more output and bass from the quarter pound set ?

    The first is a 1951 Fender Precision with Seymour Duncan.
    Quarter Pound PJ - set

    The second is a 1964 Fender Precision with Seymour Duncan.

    Well, the differences you mentioned are the main ones, and pretty big ones at that. The Antiquity II is sort of scooped, really. It is a great tone for vintage styles, or further processing. It also works with many string types. The QP just wants to rock. Lotsa output, grindy low-mids. Very bold. Not the pickup for a jazz gig.
