On a Fender Jazz Bass , what is differnet or better .....Seymour duncan Jazz or original Fender Jazz Pick-ups ?
  2. I don't know the answer to your question, but I looked very closely at the Seymour Duncan Classic Jazz Stack. Supposedly righteous sound, but each pickup is humbucking, so you can run only one pickup by itself with no hum, if you're into that sort of thing. It'd be $150 for the pair, so I opted for the Dimarzio Jazz replacements that are humbucking at only $90 a pair. I loved them so much, I bought another pair. I insist on humbucking pickups for no hum, but that's just me and I may be losing a little tone for my noiseless tendencies. I don't think so, though.
