Seymour Duncan Quarter pound or Emgs on jpj bass

Hi i am making a bass now and i want to add jpj pickups but i am stuck between Seymour Duncan and Emg what is your thoughts ? The tone i want to get is Jason Newsted's alembic elan tone.

I'd suggest investing in some Alembic Activators, either direct from Alembic or have a look on Ebay or other on-line places, they do come up fairly often.

Quarter Pounders are kind of mid scooped and bassy. EMG PA/JA sound much more balanced and have that active edge.
