I'm really interested in the seymour duncan stc-2 which can transform a passive bass in an active bass ...
Has someone some info on it?

I have an STC-2a (the "a" is for active pickups) in my 4-string bass, which also has Seymour Duncan APJ-2 Lightnin' Rod pickups. I couldn't be more happy with these electronics. With roundwound nickel strings, I can dial in almost any tone with the STC-2a, from an aggressive slap tone, to a flatwound-like Motown/Jamerson tone. (The P/J pickup configuration also helps with the tonal variety.)

I would think that you could get very similar results with the STC-2, depending on your pickups.

    I hope this helps...
