I bought this preamp a couple of weeks ago, put it in my bass connnected the battery, there comes a sound but it is rather low and distorted. First i thought it was the battert, changed and testet the conncetion/soldering on everything. Same sound. Now i wonder is the preamp fried ? Is there any way to find out what has happended ? Or should i just chew the loss and buy a new one ?
Thanks in advance for any answers.

I doubt connecting it to the battery can actually fry it. It shouldn't be distorted, or low output at all, so something is wrong. Did you get it new?

Yes i bought it new. But i ordered it online from USA to Norway. So it is not so easy to return i'm afraid. Thanks for your time answering.

Send me a PM with your email, and a description of the problem, and I will try to get someone who is familiar with that particular preamp to help.
