Shadow SH RB-PRO Rockabilly Pickup is a great bit of kit.I love the k and k bass max,but the shadow gives me so much more.I get full control between the click and the bridge pickup, and a tuner to boot, whats not to like.Great sounding tone that is spot on for what i need.Easy to fit and easy to use,IF any body is sitting on the fence about this unit go and buy.Great for the price and great for rockabilly. 20190313_151511.jpg

Nice looking bass. What brand is it? What strings--Superior Bassworks Dirty Guts?

Glad to hear corroborating evidence on the RB Pro. No complaints about mine at all. After how long? A year and a half maybe? I forget. I've probably done a hundred gigs with it.
I tend to think a parametric EQ/Notch Filter could be added--to maximize addressing really problem resonances, but that is more a want than a need.

This will probably be what I swap out my K&K RB for. I've got the notch on my doubler so I'm set in that regard

Do you guys use the shadow into a single amp channel from the mono out ? ie is the eq on the Shadow unit sufficient for blending and getting the click right, or are 2 amp channels essential?

When you use the Shadow, do you just use the mono output into a single amp channel? Or do you find you have to keep the signals split and eq each separately after that?

You can use it mono into a single channel amp for both signals.or send them out separately.hope that helps.

Hi, thank you for replying ... Yes I am familiar with the layout because I have one, but have not played live yet.
What Im wondering, is if guys find they need to use both channels, ie to process them / eq them separately, or do guys find the eq controls within the unit, sufficient to get a good sound?

Sounds good enough for me going the mono way, have not felt the need for a two channel amp.I have my amp set flat with the eq and adjust the sound from the unit.I just try to get the sound of my bass unplugged but louder through the amp.
