Had a rehearsal tonight, some familiar faces, some new. I was playing a Mike Lull P4 with flats through an Eden WT550 and an Epifani UL310 fitted w/ D.I.S.T drivers. The sax player shared with me how great my rig sounded, particularly how clear the highs were. He could hear everything well. It must have been the Tobacco Sunburst with tort pick guard...That's a pretty great compliment i guess the time i put in dialing in my tone paid off. We had drums, electric guitar, conga, 2 sax players and of course bass. It really is a great set up. I love that P4 with flats through that rig. It's full, clear, articulate, warm. It sits in the mix when it needs to and cuts through at just the right moments.
