Awesome shots! That red Lakland....
I sense the Funk is Strong in this one!
My very first 'real' gig. 1977 @ my high school.
I used to live in Norfolk
Long live The Funkfather!
What a great thread.
Mount Vernon. Wow, back in the '70's one of my bands had the entire floor of what was once an old government building (IIRC). It was empty except for us. I think a relative of one of my band members owned the building. There was a strip joint a few blocks up on Gramatan Ave. The things that stick in your memory!!!
I did a quick Google search and it looks like the building has a branch of the Eastchester Bank now.

Those were the days, my friend.
We thought they'd never end.
We'd sing and dance forever and day.
We'd live the life we choose.
We'd fight an never lose.
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days.
Thank you for your indulgence,
Slap that bass!
I love that Macca produced song!
Rehearsing for an upcoming performance.
And....the rest of the cats...
That bass has been my workhorse for 15 years now!
Around 2003-2004, Virginia Beach Oceanfront. I can't recall what bass I was playing that day.
