This is a feeler ad, as I LOVE this bass. It's going to take the right bass in it's place for me to part with this. I can add/take cash.

For possible trade is a beautiful and one of a kind Shawn May 6 string. It's in excellent condition. I got it around Xmas time and my sax player said "it's the Candycane bass!"
So that's what I'm calling it. It was completed in June, 2018. It plays like an absolute dream. The B string honestly feels and plays like it's on a 35, tension is perfect. I will post some audio clips soon.

On the previous sale thread, there was talk of a small warp in the neck. Disregard. There was a misundertstanding involving the flat radius and the optical illusion of neck twist due to the height staggering of the nut. The neck is as straight as it could possibly be. (see pics)

Here are the specs from Shawn:

    Model - DCS6
    Serial # - 0618-091
    Top- Bocote/Flame Maple/Padauk
    Core- African Mahogany
    Back- Bocote/Flame Maple/Padauk
    Neck- Flame Maple/Padauk
    Headplate- Bocote/Flame Maple/Padauk
Fretboard- Gabon Ebony w/ Padauk Block Inlays, Padauk/Maple Binding
    Scale Length- 32" / 24 Frets
Hardware- Hipshot A bridge/ Ultralight Tuners
Electronics- Glockenklang 3 Band- 2-way switch parallel/single for each pickup
    Pickups- Kent Armstrong Dual Coils
    Knobs- Custom Padauk/Maple
    Nut- Brass
    Radius- Flat

The action is low and buttery smooth.

There is a small indentation on the lower horn, you have to look pretty hard under the right light to find it. I know what type of Poly finish is on there, so a little sanding and a few coats should pull it out if you feel inclined. There is a small finish scratch behind the bridge. In the photo, it looks like there are 4, however the bottom 3 are all natural features in the maple.

As far as trades, I'm open to anything really if it's the right bass. I can add cash, or you can add cash. Only caveat is I much prefer 16.5-18mm spacing @ the bridge. I'm including pics of a recent jazz bass build (warmoth custom) that I can include for the right bass. Has 2 nordy splitcoil jazz pups OR two Delano single coil jazz. Audere 4 band pre and Hipshot all around.

I'm not completely opposed to vintage type sounds, but would prefer a modern "hi-fi" type of tone

How much cash would you take for it? (Assuming you're open to selling )
