Well, my 1st custom bass is finished. I'm actually having 2 built, Mark Eshenbaugh of Greer, SC is building the other one, which will be a 5 string. Mark used to study under Carl Thompson. Here's the finished Aries 6. He's going to install yellow LED's and ship her to me.
Interesting upper horn - looks like a "hook". What wood did you use for the body and neck? What electronics? How does it sound? It looks great.
Me too! Thanks for the compliments. It has an 18 volt 3 band system, piezos, wenge fingerboard, with wenge, mahogany, & ebony strips in the neck, and a mono bridge. Wait until you see the Eshenbaugh! I've played the model that he's building for me. WHOOO! If you live in Atlanta, there's one @ GC. Go check it out.
That means that you'd have an 8 year old that knows EVERYTHING, and has no problem reminding you of it!
dude, i know that everyone liked it but... damn that thing is toooooo ugly for me (no offence) but i hope it sound good!!
Wow, man, that looks really nice. Wasn't there a little blurb about it in Bass Player a few months ago?
Carl Thompson meets the Wilfers!!! Beautiful work! I'd keep a sweat cloth in that upper horn How did you and these luthiers get together???
