At school the other day i noticed that the bass amp we have, Peavey TKO 115, is "Shefield Equipped". Yesterday i went looking at new amps and i took a real fancy to a Peavey TNT 115 BW (Black Widow Equipped).

I have no idea what these things mean. Can someone care to inform me, its probably something really obvious aswel :D

    Thanks!

I believe the Sheffield speakers are built by someone else (likely Eminence) to Peavey's specifications. Peavey manufactures the Black Widow's themselves.

Generally speaking, I think you will find the BW speakers to be louder with stronger mids. They also can be repaired in the field without special tools.

Black widows have always had a reputation for being tougher than shefield.
