My rationale for putting this in the Amps forum is that the amp guys probably know the answer better than the Miscellaneous readers, but if everyone feels it's misplaced, feel free to move it.

I'm going to ship some speakers and I was wondering if there are any special precautions to take. It seems to me that if the box they're in is sitting on top of a box with a laptop in it, for instance, they could ruin the computer pretty easily. I've shipped cabinets before but the box creates kind of a buffer zone between the magnets and the outside of the package. Is there any safe way to ship speakers so I don't ruin anybody else's packages? Am I just worrying over something I can never control?

Are you shipping cabinets, or raw drivers??

I have never received any that had any special packing to isolate the magnets. I don't think any consideration to any magnetic fields are even considered. Just pack-em nice and send em.
