Shockmount Rack, foam or sprung for tube amp?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by i_got_a_mohawk, Jul 30, 2005.

  1. Whats better when looking at a shockmount case, for all tube amps, sprung or foam? im pretty sure it was sprung, im not sure why tho, foam insulating the heat?

I recently had both a Gator shock rack and a Mesa SUS shock rack. They were both more than adequate for most tube amps. I ended up buying a Mesa for mine but the Gator was quite nice also. I'd stay away from foam insulated for a tube amp.

  3. its actually an SKB rack it seems im getting, so along the same ilk as the gator, its sprung not foam

i'd like a mesa SUS rack, but thats a bit much for me atm!
