Short Power Cords?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Sanctum, May 29, 2003.

  1. I just added a power conditioner to my rack and was wondering if anyone sells short power cords so I can avoid having bunched up long ones in the back of the rack.

Just make your own. Easy and inexpensive. The end that plugs into the amp is a little harder to find at the local hardware store, but you can always cut an existing cord down and just replace the wall plug end. If you need more help, just ask.

Crown sells them. Really, REALLY thick conductor and I think that they are only $5 and some change plus the shipping.

Had a similar situation with my Furman... as I've done with my patch cables; neatly coil up the cords (like done with mic cables), put a small zip strip plastic tie around the cord and lay it inside rack cab.

Beats shopping around for connectors and re-cabling electrical lines,
