Picked this up here on TB a short while back. Full details can be found in the prior sale thread, but this is basically a Fodera Monarch shaped body with a short scale neck attached and SD pickups. It sounds phenomenal....really sounds “big”.

Prior sale thread here - SOLD - Tribute to: Fodera Monarch Standard Custom 30” Short Scale PJ 7 lb 14oz AAAA Maple Alder

The original owner bought the body on EBay and believes it was either a ‘factory second’ or a near-perfect copy of a Fodera Monarch Standard. Regardless, it is in excellent shape and is high quality. This bass sounds like a long scale. The Sperzel Tuners accept full size/wind on the E and A posts.

I took a photo of it next to my real Monarch and the shape is identical. Photo is attached for reference.

    - 5/16” AAAA Flame Maple top with black veneer between top and Alder back
    - the body and neck have very thin ‘sealer coats’ of spray on lacquer.
    - DiMarzio P J with CTS passive volume and tone, orange drop .047 cap and SwitchCraft jack (no selector/blend)
    - Maple over alder really affords a nice sounding bass, straddling the conventional with modern tones. Add a preamp of your choice and it sounds even better.
-Maple on Maple 30” Allen Eden Neck
    - 21 medium jumbo frets, side dots only, 14” radius
    - straight neck, low action; single action truss rod, 4mm nut adjust at headstock
    - Sperzel Tuners with Hipshot 4 string retainer
    - High mass bridge with lockdown saddles, chrome dome knobs and Gotoh oversized strap buttons
    - 7 lbs 14 Oz: nice and light on the shoulder...

The neck pocket is not a perfect fit, but it is stable and Bass stays in tune. If you don’t want it to be short scale, you can add a 24 fret 34” scale neck easily.

Will be shipped with an assortment of strings and will be disassembled for shipment.

Asking $380 shipped CONUS. I will also consider shipping elsewhere if the buyer is willing to pay any additional fees. Thanks for looking.
