There are many short scale basses out there. I have one that is 30" scale. I need a case for it. I want to hear from my TB friends as to where I can find a SKB style or Tolex covered hard case for a short scale bass. Since my bass is a Bison style double cutaway, I need the Fender esk type case..

That doesn't seem to be too bad of a price.. Anyone know what kind of quality case these are?

I have a couple of the Rondo short scale cases and they're pretty decent.

How do they compare to the myriad of SKB cases that I have?

It's not the best made case in the world. But it does the job. I've taken it on two flights and it was fine

i use this rondo case with my fender vi clone: http://www.rondomusic.com/product1207.html

doesn't seem like it will take as much abuse as my skb case for the strat, but works fine around town, and easier to repair a wooden case yourself compared with plastic...

anyone have a good recommendation for sturdy gig bag for these things? regular scale bass bags feel too slack & floppy by the headstock.

The case I need will really only be to keep it in. Not going to be traveling on the road with my 1974 Aria A-200 short scale bass. It is mostly just a blast from my past that does not have a case. I don't like storing my basses in gigbags, I prefer hard shell cases, but I do want something that will last
